Geometry Lesson 2: Angles

Definitions
Right Angel: Angel that is exactly 90

Acute Angel: Angel that is less then 90

Obtuse Angel: Angel that is between 90 and 180

How to use a Protractor

  1. Put the target into the vertex of the angel (where the two lines meet)
  2. Go from the bottom flat line up to the open top line.
  3. Mark where it stops this is your angle

Note: The length of the arms does not affect the size of the angle. Just the distance between the arms.

Question:
What is a quick way to know if an angle is less then, 90 or more then 90? if you were estimating?
