Recount Success Criteria



Now you have your plan you will be writing a rough recount to bring into school for Monday to be edited. Here is what we are looking for in our good copy recount and how I will be marking your good copy. 

Success Criteria: Recount
Knowledge
·       Describe an event in chronological order
·       Tell the who, what, where, when, why and how
·       Tells about one main event

·       Elaborates on events so the reader can see the experience in their mind
·       Writes about specific participants
·       Writes a concluding comment that summarizes the event

·       Uses linking words (but, and, first, next etc.)
·       Uses past tense
·       Uses a variety of sentence starters

·       Sometimes includes personal reflections
·       Able to tell only the most important information
